Release of OECD QSAR Toolbox 4.7

We are excited to inform you about the launch of the newest update of the OECD QSAR Toolbox, version 4.7! This innovative tool is still transforming the approach to chemical hazard assessment and data gap filling, offering a variety of new features and enhancements aimed at improving user experience and analytical capabilities.


Major Updates in OECD QSAR Toolbox 4.7

  • Profiler Enhancements: 21 profilers have been revised.

  • Advancements in Metabolic Simulators: 5 metabolic simulators have undergone improvements.

  • Database Upgrades: Existing databases have been refreshed, and a new one has been introduced.

New Database Additions

  • EASIS Database: This new database comprises 488 chemicals with 6012 data points concerning the endocrine activity of chemicals, contributed by JRC. It covers various endpoints, including:

  • Ecotoxicological Toxicity: 197 chemicals with 1764 data points.

  • Human Health Hazards: 324 chemicals with 3236 data points.

  • Intermediate Effects: Mechanistic details for 101 chemicals with 1012 data points.

Enhancements to Reports

  1. QSAR Prediction Report: Adjusted in compliance with the OECD QAF guidance document.

  2. QSAR Justification Document: Revised to align with the OECD QAF guidance document.
